Coniferous forest or Taiga
One of the coldest biomes
Taiga
The Taiga may not seem interesting at first glance but things are not what they seem. The Taiga's inhabitants have adapted to have longer hair and/or have thicker fur to endure the Taiga's temperatures of around -4 Fahrenheit in the winter and in the summer 50 to 80 Fahrenheit. The soil in the Taiga is a very poor soil in terms of nutrients but the scientific name of this soil is spodosols. The Taiga's coniferous trees or evergreens poison the soil that only evergreens can resist. In this biome it rains/snows about 15 to 20 inches on average.
