The First Venue - Cappadocia
Cappadocia (Turkish: Kapadokya) is an area in Central Anatolia in Turkey best known for its unique moon-like landscape, underground cities, cave churches and houses carved in the rocks.
The Cappadocian Region located in the center of the Anatolian Region of Turkey, with its valley, canyon, hills and unusual rock formation created as a result of the eroding rains and winds of thousands of years of the level, lava-covered plain located between the volcanic mountains Erciyes, Melendiz and Hasan as well as its troglodyte dwellings carved out of the rock and cities dug out into underground, presents an otherworldly appearance. The eruptions of these mountains which were active volcanoes in geological times lasted until 2 million years ago. A soft tuff layer was formed, 150 m in thickness, by the issuing lavas in the valley surrounded by mountains. The rivers, flood water running down the hillsides of valleys and strong winds eroded the geological formations consisting of tuff on the plateau formed with tuff layers, thus creating bizarre shapes called fairy Chimneys. These take on the names of mushroom shaped, pinnacled, capped and iconic shaped formations.
Air
The fastest and most comfortable way of reaching Cappadocia is using the airway. There are two main airports that you can use to reach Cappadocia. One of them is Kayseri Erkilet Airport (ASR) located in Kayseri and nearly one hour driving to the center of Cappadocia region. Turkish Airlines operates several direct (nonstop) flights from Istanbul Atatürk Airport (IST) to Kayseri Erkilet Airport. There are also daily flights from Izmir into Kayseri via Istanbul. It’s easy to arrange a transfer or shuttle bus from Kayseri Airport to Cappadocia.
The second one is Nevşehir Kapadokya Airport (NAV), which is located in Gülşehir town of Nevşehir Province. Turkish Airlines operates direct (nonstop) flight from Istanbul Ataturk to Nevsehir Kapadokya twice a day.
Car
- From Kayseri, Cappadocia, about 70 kilometers (km) and can take up to about 1 hour by car.
- From Ankara Cappadocia about 305 kilometers (km) and can take up to about 4 hours by car.
- Istanbul to Cappadocia, about 757 kilometers (miles) away and the vehicle takes about 9 hours and 15 minutes.
- From Cappadocia, Konya about 238 kilometers (km) and takes about 3,5 hours by car.
Accomodation
For accomodation there are so many possibilities however since we need to travel together most of the time by bus we try to negotiate the hotels that give us the best deal so that everybody could stay together. The prices are really convenient but it you want more choices for each city we can also add some more accomodation possibilities to our proposal.
Climate
June is a nice month in terms of weather. It is not too hot, not too cold. The avarage temperature for Cappadocia and Konya is around 25-28 C degree. It is really rarely rainy. Since Antalya is on the coast, because of the humadity the avarage temperature is around 30 C degree.

The Second Venue- Konya
Konya, 261 km (162 miles) south of Ankara, is Turkey's city of Whirling Dervishes, and has been for 800 years.
Located right on the ancient Silk Road, Konya has lots to see and do, a number of good hotels, and transport is easy.
Located about three hours' drive south of Ankara, it's an extremely old city, its roots going back to the days of the Hittites, who called it Kuwanna. As a Roman city, it was Iconium.
The reason to visit Konya is to see the Mevlana Museum which shelters the tomb of Jelaleddin Rumî (1207-1273), known to his followers as Mevlana (or Rumî), a Muslim poet and mystic and one of the great spiritual thinkers and teachers of all time.
Konya was the capital of the Seljuk Turkish Sultanate of Rum ("ROOM," that is, Rome)which flourished in Central Anatolia from 1071 to 1275. The Seljuks built numerous caravansarays along the Silk Road between Cappadocia and Konya, and beyond.
Seljuk architecture is outstanding, and numerous great Seljuk buildings—mosques and theological seminaries mostly—are Konya's pride and joy

Several companies run buses to Konya from many other Turkish cities, including Aksaray, Ankara, Antalya, Isparta& Eğirdir, Istanbul and Nevşehir (Cappadocia).
Here are estimated travel times.
From Istanbul or Ankara, it's faster, more comfortable, and not much more expensive to take the high-speed train
It's best if you can reserve your bus seat a day or so in advance , but if not, just go to the bus station and you'll probably be on your way to Konya in an hour or two.
Five companies run buses on the 663-km (412-mi), 10-hour trip between Istanbul and Konya.
There are even more frequent buses between Ankara and Konya (260 km/162 miles, 3.5 hours), but the high-speed train is preferable for this journey.
Yüksek Hızlı Tren service between Konya and Ankara offers 8 trains daily in each direction taking less than 2 hours to traverse the 260-km distance. (Buses take 3.5 to 4 hours.)
You can take two high-speed trains daily between Istanbul and Konya, changing trains at Eskişehir, for a total travel time of about 4.5 hours.

The Third Venue- Antalya
Antalya, city on the Mediterranean coast of south-western Turkey, is the Turkish capital of international tourism.
Situated by the Gulf of Antalya, the city of Antalya can be traced back in history as early as the 1st century BC when, as the legend has it, upon discovering this land, king Attalos II told his men that “this must be Heaven”. Today, tourists who come here from all the corners of the world say that only after seeing a sunset at Antalya can one say they have seen everything a man is allowed to see in a lifetime.
Antalya is a tourism destination characterized by a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and fairly warm and rainy winters, one of the reasons why increasing numbers of tourists are turning to Antalya not only as a summer destination but also as a winter vacation resort.
Once you have tasted the Antalya cuisine, the flavour of the spicy Piyaz or of the many cold Mediterranean dishes with olive oil will get stuck on you forever, and no matter how hard you try to cook it at home there will always be a secret ingredient that you miss... the flavour of the places or the flavour of the local colour that people have learned to use in their dishes.
Apart from its cuisine, Antalya also boasts about golden beaches (Konyaalti and Lara) and foaming milky waterfalls (Düden, Manavgat) which are chief tourist attractions added to the list of reasons why people choose this vacation destination for the first time or come back here ever more.
The city of Antalya seems to have taken in all of Turkey’s cultural and historic past so well preserved and sealed by the traditional archaeology of the mosques, churches, madrasahs and hamams which stood the ruthless test of time.
The historical part of the city, Kaleiçi, is also the tourist centre of Antalya: hotels and clubs, restaurants and bars are the edifices that the modern tourist world has raised next to the Yivli Minare, a symbol of the restored historical city centre and to the Kesik Minare, a former Byzantine Pangalia church, later converted into a mosque.
Despite Antalya’s growing popularity among tourists, the main transportation here is by air, although sea and land routes have only recently been taken into consideration. However, of late, the International Antalya Airport has opened a new terminal to face the hustle and bustle of the ever increasing numbers of international tourists.
The whole urbanized Antalya transportation system makes it easy for its tourists to move from one place to another and visit all the sights you want, while still preserving their energy for the grand tour of restaurants and bars.
Thus, you can choose from tour minibuses that follow a set route, taxis, or trams so that a tour day at the Antalya Museum can be ended by a walk in the Antalya Beach Park or on the shore of the Konyaalti Beach. Likewise, they can get out of your hotel or inexpensive but comfortable) along the coast, just above the Konyaalti and Lara beaches, get on a tram, and get off at the city centre, with its streets crammed with old Turkish and Greek houses.
The legendary Turkish baths, the spicy foods, the colourful gift shops, the noisy streets and bars packed with other euphoric tourists, just like you, the historical traces preserved into Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine or Ottoman edifices, the Antalya festivals all are reasons why you should at least once in a life time indulge yourself with this Heaven.
The best way to travel from Antalya to your country is to travel Istanbul, Izmir or Ankara first by airplane. You can flight normally pretty cheap prices for flights if you fly early in the morning. Check out Turkish airlines (THY) Atlasjet, Sunexpress, Pegasus, Onur air for flight times and prices. There are direct flights to some EU countries but for most countries you need to fly to Istanbul, Ankara or Izmir first and then to your country's destination. There are busses as well from Antalya to different provinces of Turkey.
