Thank you to the many families who joined us for Catholic Education Sunday mass! Thank you to OLA and SJPII Catholic Schools for co-hosting and providing the refreshments after mass.

Thank you to Ms Keleva, Ms Cyca and Mrs. Heesing for your presence at mass. A special thank you to Mrs. Earle, Miss Bohaychuk, Mrs. Buban, Mrs. Lukie, Mrs. Weller and Mme Gravelle for helping with the Ministries at mass and for your faith leadership.

Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences

On Tuesday, November 5th from 5:00 – 8:30 pm and Wednesday, November 6th from 3:30 – 7:00 pm we will be hosting Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences to celebrate your child’s growth and learning since September. Attending these 3-Way Conferences with your child is an essential part of their learning process.

Mme Gravelle (Grade 4 French) and Mrs. Lukie (Music & Drama) are also available for interview times and have been added to the list of available teachers to book an appointment with on the School Interviews site. You are welcome and encouraged to see them during the scheduled interview times.

Conferences can be booked online at Please follow these simple instructions to book a time convenient for your family.

  1. Go to
  2. Select the “MAKE A BOOKING” button on the top right-hand corner of the page
  3. Enter the OLA event code: 9tm6u and press “GO”
  4. Enter your details
  5. Select the teachers you wish to see
  6. Select the appointment times that suit your family best
  7. Click “FINISH”

Your interview timetable will be emailed to you automatically. (If you do not receive your e-mail immediately please check your junk mail folder.) You can return to at any time to change your conference times until the bookings close at 8:00 pm on November 4th; please remember to use the same name and email address you used for your original booking. Parents wishing to change their conference times after the closing date should contact May-Lee in the office at 780-998-3716.

If you do not have access to the internet please contact the school office and we will gladly assist you in booking your interviews.

Scholastic Book Fair

Mrs. Wagner will be hosting our annual Scholastic Book Fair is the library this week. With the support of our amazing families the book fair helps us fill our library shelves with new and exciting books. Please stop by!

Please stop by the Lost & Found table while you are at the school for 3-Way Conferences. Lots of great stuff is hoping to find it's way back home!

Faith in Action Assembly

Last Monday at our Faith in Action Assembly we commissioned our new Grade 4 Servant Leadership Squad! Congratulations and thank you for giving of your time and talents to lead and serve at Our Lady of the Angels School!

We also congratulated our Grade 2 students who were part of the OLA Parish First Reconciliation Celebration last Saturday. Well done and God Bless!

Annual Poinsettia Sale Volunteers Needed

Last year the OLA SC Poinsettia Sale was one of the most profitable fundraisers of the year. Your Fundraising Committee is looking for volunteers to help take orders at OLA Parish on the following dates for about 15 minutes before and after Mass:

  • Sunday, November 3rd 9:00 am Mass & 11:00 am Mass
  • Saturday, November 9th 5:15 pm Mass
  • Sunday, November 10th 9:00 am Mass & 11:00 am Mass

Daytime School Council Meeting Set in December

We know there are many families who are unable to join School Council meetings in the evening, so we welcome everyone to our daytime meeting set for Thursday, December 19 at 9:30am in the library. Please join the conversation.
