The Good News
Holy Trinity Faith Formation Newsletter - November, 2022
A Note from Mrs. K
Did you know that the word, "Eucharist" means thanksgiving? What are you and your family thankful for? I pray you continue the journey with all of us here in Faith Formation, and join us in-person once again for the celebration of the Eucharist in Mass at Holy Trinity, as we look forward to growing together with you and your children!
I am thankful for YOU!
~ Mrs. K

2022 Children's Christmas Pageant

Please RSVP to Mrs. K by November 22nd if you/your child are interested in participating in this year's production of “The Journey to the Manger”! Include in your email your child’s FIRST and SECOND CHOICE requested role (Mary, Joseph, Angel Gabriel, Narrator, Animal, Angel, Wiseman, Shepherd, Star). PLEASE NOTE: Mary, Joseph, and the Angel Gabriel will be randomly selected from all those interested, so please do not forget to include a “2nd choice”.

Children's Liturgy of the Word - New Leaders Welcome!
Children's Liturgy of the Word is held on Sunday mornings during our 10:30am Mass for parish children in Pre-K through Grade 3. This program was developed to give younger children a chance to listen and pray at their level of understanding. As a volunteer leader in this ministry, you do not need teaching experience nor are you asked to plan lessons or prepare activities. That is all done for you! You are only asked to serve one Sunday per month, or as your schedule allows, to help lead our children through our Mass responses and prayers along with a fun conversation about the Gospel message at a level easily understood by our youngest parishioners.
Reach out to Tricia Kull at tricia.kull@dor.org for more information!
2023 Hands of Christ Recognition Awards
The Hands of Christ is a recognition program to affirm high school seniors who have been the “Hands of Christ” in their churches, homes, schools and communities. If you are a Middle or High School student who would like to be considered for this award in your senior year, it is not too early or late to get involved at any grade! What does it mean to be the "Hands of Christ"? These are young people who:
- make it a priority to regularly attend Sunday Mass;
- are stewards of their time with God as well as their sharing of time and talent with the needs of the parish and the greater community;
- are young men and women who model Christ-like behavior to their peers.
There are many different ways that you can grow in all of the above...and many of you already are. We will be announcing our Holy Trinity senior nominees for the 2023 Hands of Christ awards very soon, so stay tuned!

NCYC is the premiere Catholic youth event on a national scale that gathers people from all across America for a life-changing encounter with Christ.
NCYC 2023 will be held in Indianapolis, IN on November 16-18, 2023. More information about our Holy Trinity parish youth pilgrimage to NCYC 2023 will be shared as plans are formulated, so stay tuned!
