Academic Excellence

Open House

CTHS Open House is on September 8th from 6:30-8:00. It is a Come and Go. It was a close vote, but we will continue to stay in our rooms to welcome our parents. If your department would like to do something creative and different, just let me know :) I like doing something out of the ordinary to show how special we are.

PTO Membership

Have you joined our PTO? We are almost to 100%! For $5 per faculty you can help give back to our schools. This is a great opportunity to help our students and teachers!! http://www.emsisd.com/cms/lib/TX21000533/Centricity/Domain/2464/PTO%20201516.pdf

College and Career Center:

On September 15, TCC College Access representatives will give presentations to the English IV classes and AVID classes. In addition to this presentation, students will learn about the TCC Cornerstone Honors Program from current Cornerstone students and professors.

The TCC Cornerstone Program provides opportunities for highly motivated students to become a part of an intellectually stimulating community. A wide range of students can achieve a high level of academic excellence and increase their opportunities for scholarships at four-year institutions. For more information regarding the Cornerstone program visit https://www.tccd.edu/Courses_and_Programs/Honors_Program/ .

The TCC College Access program is designed to help spread awareness of the programs available at TCC and help students through the process of beginning their coursework at the college. Students who are interested in TCC will be guided through the admissions process during the school year. TCC College Access representatives will be on campus at different times during the first semester of student’s senior year to guide them through the application process, testing, and advisement.
