Captain's Log
I want to give all of our teachers a "Shout out" as a thank you for their tremendous efforts in planning over the past 3 weeks. We have 1 more week to go, and I'm blown away by the thought and collaboration that has been demonstrated. No matter what happens this fall, I know we will be prepared.
I also want to give a "Shout out" to Mr. Ward, Ms. Orchard, and Ms. Bonnie for all their help with registration these past few weeks. PLEASE keep reminding our families to get registered. Even if they want to do virtual learning this fall, they MUST be registered.
I hope you enjoy the Fourth of July weekend safely with your family.
School Reopening Planning Team
- Hybrid Learning Model (PREFERRED)-half of your class comes one week and the other half comes the next week; on "off" weeks students are doing online learning
- 100% Online Learning-students would stay at home 100% of the time and complete all work virtually
- 100% Face to Face-students would come to school every day and get 100% of their instruction face to face
For students in PK and K, we are encouraging 100% face to face (with option for 100% virtual).
There are MANY things that need to be thought through in our reopening plans and I need your help! I am looking for a representative from each grade level and any other staff that is interested to help us in planning the various considerations that will need to be made. If you are interested, please send me (Mrs. Helton) an email. Our first meeting will be on Wednesday, July 8 at 4:00 pm on Zoom (LINK HERE).

Behavior Training
There are 2 FREE Webinars on TBRI (Behavior Strategies): TBRI 101 and TBRI In the Classroom. "TBRI In the Classroom" is probably the most practical for teachers. Teachers have been asking for additional training in dealing with SPED and regular Ed students that have behavior issues so this training comes highly recommended. It will be free until the end of June and after that there will be a fee to access it. If you have any ideas or just want to talk about the training, contact Mrs.Salazar.

GT & ESL Training
If you need to get your ESL Certification, please see below regarding online self-paced training through Region 12. ALL teachers are HIGHLY recommended to have their ESL certification.
