Parents can use this form to pre-register to attend Field Day events on Friday, May 13th. Complete this form for each adult planning to attend.

If your ID has been scanned previously at the front desk, McClure staff will be able to preprint your tag which allows us to speed up the line for check-ins. All RSVPs must be received by noon, on Tuesday, May 10th for your tag to be pre-printed.

Visitors without a pre-printed tag will need to check-in at the front office as usual. All guests will be required to show ID.

As we move towards the end of the 21-22 school year, we have a lot of fun events on campus coming up! Make sure you have completed your 21-22 volunteer background check.

Hair Donation Event - May 20, 2022

Are you interested in donating your hair to help others? We will holding a Hair Donation Event for Children with hair loss at our last stampede of the year! The hair donations must be 8 inches in length. If YOU or YOUR student are interested in participating, please let Nurse Megan know! Start growing your hair out now!!

MISD Parent Notification of House Bill 4545 Requirements for STAAR for Grades 3rd-5th

McKinney ISD Parents,

Please be aware that state law requires students in Texas public schools to take the STAAR standardized tests. There is no “opt out” for standardized tests. Failure to complete the required testing will result in 30 hours of tutoring during summer school for each test that is failed or not taken. Students who do not attend school on testing days will be required to make up tests upon their return.

Students must pass the five end-of-course (EOC) exams or an acceptable substitute in order to graduate. A student who does not perform satisfactorily on the STAAR test in no more than two courses may be permitted to graduate if an individual graduation committee determines the student is qualified to do so. By local policy, a school district may also issue a certificate of coursework completion to a student who successfully completes curriculum requirements but who fails the required state assessment tests. (Tex. Educ. Code §§ 28.025(d), .0258; 19 Tex. Admin. Code § 101.3022) Students who do not perform satisfactorily on an EOC assessment must also be provided with accelerated instruction which, again, includes 30 hours during summer school. (Tex. Educ. Code §§ 29.081, .0217)

Message from MISD Food Services

Due to manufacturer shortages and other instabilities in the supply chain, as well as a large increase in meal participation across the board at all schools, we’ve needed to alter the elementary menus to ensure we meet the demand of so many students. The most up-to-date menu information will always be available on our menu website at mckinney.schooldish.com which updates hourly based on changes we are making continually as needs demand. Because we know many people would still like a paper copy, we are presently working on getting a downloadable printable paper menu posted on the same webpage.

WANT TO SUBSTITUTE TEACH?


McKinney ISD substitute teachers serve an essential role in our classrooms. They keep the learning moving forward when a teacher can not be in the classroom. At McClure, we are thankful for all of the substitutes that serve our Marshals.


If you have ever considered serving as a substitute, now is a great time to apply! We are looking for people who are committed to the students and families in our district. Substitutes in MISD can choose if they would like to work at only one level campus (elementary, middle, or high) or they can work at campuses across all levels.


Applications are processed on a continuing basis through the fall semester.

Volunteer Information


If you would like to volunteer at McClure or attend field trips, please complete the volunteer background check. If you have been approved in the past, you have until September to update your application for the new school year. You must complete a new form each year. Please note that if you do not complete the proper paperwork, you cannot help chaperone field trips or help in the school in any way. We need and want your help, so please fill out the forms now.

Early Pick Up

In an effort to maintain classroom management, maximize instruction time and minimize end of day confusion, we will not release students between 2:30-3:07 p.m. If you must change the way your student goes home for the day, please notify your child’s teacher via email prior to 2:30 p.m. to ensure that your student will receive the correct information before regular dismissal begins. You will receive a quick reply from the teacher to confirm receipt. Students will not be called from class between 2:30-3:07 p.m. for early dismissal unless there is an emergency situation.

PTO Membership Information

McClure PTO is a group of parents (moms and dads) working in partnership with school staff to help keep families informed and involved.


Studies have shown students do better in school when parents are engaged at school.
