Prairie Pick-up Procedures
After school activity (5 PM) pick-up is located in front of the building. We ask that all cars, regardless of where your child enters your car, drive past the building and exit either through the ELC if you are heading west on Dundee or circle back in the far lane if you are heading east on Dundee.
These procedures help us ensure the safety of all involved and provide the fastest possible experience for everyone. Thank you.
NJHS Charity Drive
We are asking students and families to consider donating regular household items, clothes, toys and books that are no longer needed at home. Students can bring these to Prairie in a garbage bag to room 303. If you have a lot of bags or do not want to send the bags with students, we will have a drop off event on April 9th between 9 and 11 am. We are hosting a raffle for students that participate in this fundraising effort. See the FunDrive Items that can be donated. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact cdykstra@barrington22.org.

As a reminder, all students at BMS-Prairie receive social/emotional learning (SEL) lessons multiple times a year and during COLT time. In addition, all students have access to a counseling team member. If you ever have questions about our general curriculum or supports specific to your student, please feel free to contact a member of the Prairie Counseling Department.

Zooming While Quarantined
Should your child be placed on quarantine due to COVID-related reasons, he or she can access Zoom to join classes remotely. Students can access these links in each of their Schoology courses. Please understand that the Zoom links may not be immediately available once a student has been placed on quarantine. Our teachers will work as quickly as possible to allow students access and our counselors will provide students with further information.
Please understand that, per district policy, only students who have been quarantined due to COVID-related issues will be allowed to join classes remotely.
Updating Your Student's Vaccination Status
BMS Prairie COVID-19 Dashboard
Please note:
- A positive case is counted on the day it is reported. Every day after, it is placed in the quarantine category.
- Positive cases for students are only counted for those who have been in the building for any reason (academic, athletics, clubs, etc.).
