What do you notice about the young girl above?
Perhaps the words "joyful" "confident" "happy" "dancing" "living her best life" came to mind.
How do we ensure that our students and families are experiencing this type of joy and confidence with an ALL IN disposition when it comes to learning?
Katie Luck, TDS, will be sharing more about how "Lap Hours" has a great impact not only on our our literacy brain but our entire way of being as a learner.

Staff Tee Shirts
At this time the shirt price will be $11.80. We need a minimum of 50 tee shirts ordered in order for this price to be honored. Our staff includes 58 K-4 + 24 preschool so we should be good!
*Preschool please do not feel obligated as we know you just got your squad shirts but you are more than welcome to order if you desire.
Marabeth has a list in office for you to add your size and drop off your $11.80 cash before October 2. The order will be placed that week so please make sure your size is listed!
Office Referrals & Classroom Discipline
Thank you in advance for being proactive with:
- community circles
- verbal & non verbal redirection
- private conversations
- spending 2 minutes for 10 days with any child that does not seem to be responding
- strong parent communication
The think tank team is revising the "Time to Reflect" form as well as the Office Referral Form (digital format coming) and these will be shared very soon.
Reminders about Restorative Chats:
- Both parties must be willing and have given permission to chat.
- A chat does not need to take place until emotions are calm.
- Person harmed & person who caused harm are known & agreed upon.
If the above statements do not hold true with the situation - spoiler alert - the chat may cause more harm.

Side 2 End with Agreement
How are you documenting your chats?
Goal Setting Meetings & Next Steps
When we collaborate, they do. When we problem solve, they do. When we raise our hand and own our mistakes, they do. When we self regulate, they do.
When we are critical thinkers that persevere, they will too.
Next Steps:
- Jeff or Fatima will be emailing you as your main evaluator.
- You are responsible for scheduling your long observation with your main evaluator.
- Your non main evaluator will do a short observation walkthrough at minimum.
- Your goal may or may not connect with your observations however your personal reflection/documentation of the goal process should be captured in a brief format of your choice.
- New: We will have a mid year "check in" regarding your goal where you will present your reflection thus far and next steps for second semester.
Please see your admin team with any questions!
Collaborative Mondays
We are very proud of the efforts and cannot wait to see what happens this week! Big thank you to Mrs. Kussy & Miss Gray for sharing out ways to keep every grade connected with what is happening across the building.
