Counseling News
In the Classroom
In March, we will be wrapping up lessons related to handling put-downs, playground exclusion, and bullying. In the Fargo Public Schools we teach students to: Say Stop, Walk Away, and Get Help from a Grown Up (if needed). Bullying behavior is defined as behavior that meets 3 specific criterion: on purpose, with an imbalance of power, and is continual over time.
We will finish the month by discussing problem solving skills using STEP (see poster). STEP stands for: Say the Problem, Think of Solutions, Explore Consequences, and Pick the Best Solution.
These are important spring topics as our students have been spending MANY days together and conflict does happen. These are also great topics and tools to discuss at home!
Student Council Reminder
Student Council will meet via zoom at 3:15 (this is a change, hopefully it helps out our bus riders!) on:
* March 23
* April 20
* May 18

Counseling
Miss Alme (school counseling intern) and I have many counseling small groups under way and we love meeting with students at Eagles. Please let us know if you ever have any questions or concerns or if there is anything we can do to help your student and your family!
