APAC BOOKENDS
Chandler High's Company Theatre went on tour with "Bookends!" last week. They traveled to local elementary schools "acting out" children's favorite stories. On September 11th and 12th, they performed The Ugly Duckling, Winnie the Pooh, The Cat in the Hat, If I Ran the Zoo, and Curious George for K-3rd grade audiences. Next semester they will perform for 4-6th graders promoting the love for reading!
“THE BOTTOM OF THE LAKE”
Summer camp. The memories. The s’mores. The campfire. The ghost stories.
Dani’s out in the middle of the woods at night, alone, without a flashlight. She meets three girls from another camp, and the new friends tell ghost stories to pass the time.
After each of their stories comes to life onstage, only one story remains to be told – a story none of them saw coming.
Come see Chandler High Theatre's production of The Bottom of the Lake on September 19th, 20th, and 21st at 7:00pm in the Bogle Theater. Tickets are $7. You don’t want to miss it!
SUICIDE PREVENTION WEEK

NHS BLOOD DRIVE
On Tuesday, September 12th, the Chandler High School National Honor Society, in conjunction with United Blood Services, hosted a very successful blood drive.
Here are CHS’s numbers from the drive:
- 45 successful blood donations - goal was 39 (115% of goal!)
- 52 total blood components donated - goal was 45 (115% of goal!)
- 20 more people signed in at the drive and were deferred
Donors who have a mobile phone number in their donor record will receive a text when their generous donation is on its way to a hospital patient!
There were over 100 volunteer hours in three weeks leading up to the drive, and on blood drive day alone, there were 60 student volunteers working the drive, running passes, checking in students, and providing TLC to the donors. Countless students brought in refreshments for donors, created posters, and recruited for this drive. Wolves really pulled together to help their community.
