Broadening language provision to create independent learners
Welcome to the first Language Futures ebulletin for 2017/18
Whether you are launching Language Futures for the first time this term or are an experienced Language Futures practitioner, please do contact us if you would like our support.
New guidance and resources:
Over summer 2017, we have created a a series of short films exploring the approach from a variety of perspectives. Filmed at Language World 2017, they explore themes ranging from the impact on pedagogy to the role of mentoring. We have also created a series of resources supporting parents including Top Tips for Parents as well as resources designed specifically for when students take on the role of mentor including Top Tips for Student Mentors and a PowerPoint to help train student mentors.
Network Meeting, Comberton Village College, 25 September (1-4pm):
This session will be an opportunity to learn from experienced Language Futures practitioners, share ideas and plan as a network of schools working together on the approach.
For further details or to book a place at this free event, please email the Language Futures Project Manager Clodagh Cooney. If you can't attend this event, please do contact us for news of future events.
