Reflection Corner: A Grace-filled Easter

A Grace-filled Easter! Jesus’ death shattered his disciples' hopes and dreams. They had hoped that He was the one to redeem Israel. They saw the cross as defeat and could not understand the empty tomb until the Lord appeared to them. As Christians, we have been blessed by our understanding that Jesus is intimately close to us. How often do we recognize the Lord when He speaks to our hearts and opens His mind to us? Do we allow his words and His Eucharistic presence transform our lives?

Prayer: "May the Lord free us from being Christians without hope, who live as if the Lord were not risen, as if our problems were the centre of our lives." Pope Francis

Welcome back! Hope that we all had time to rest, enjoy, spend some good quality time with our loved ones. As we return from our Easter break, we know how the remainder of the school year could go quite fast. Let's get it rolling! :-)

OLM Geography Bee Champion finished 5th in the Statewide Competition

We are extremely proud of seventh grader Brian Benito, OLM Geographic Bee Champion, for representing our school very well in the Statewide Geographic Bee. Brian's mom shared with us that as per Mr. Sean Boyd, coordinator of the CA Geographic Bee, there were a total of 753 schools that participated in the local Geographic Bee Competitions but only 104 students qualified to compete in the State Geographic Bee. Brian, one of the 104 students who competed in Fresno State University, ended up in fifth place. Such great news for our OLM community! What a great accomplishment, indeed! Great job, Brian!

Faculty Room Duty

Just a reminder: The Office Staff and 8th grade teachers are in charge of the Faculty Room clean-up this week. The sign-up is on the board. Thanks!

Stations of the Cross

A huge THANK YOU for a beautiful Stations of the Cross reflection last Thursday, March 24th. You all did a wonderful job preparing our students. A big shout out goes to Sr. Rosabel for weaving everything together to provide all of us precious moments to reflect on the passion and death of our Lord Jesus Christ.
