Eagles Nest Program
News and Notes 8-22-18
IN ORDER FOR YOUR STUDENT TO BEGIN EAGLES NEST, THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN ADVANCE
- Sign and email a copy of Eagles Nest Tuition Agreement, found on the Eagles Nest homepage.
- Sign and email a copy of the Eagles Nest Agreement and Consent To Participate form, found on the last page of the Eagles Nest Program Handbook.
- Email your child(ren)’s teacher and carbon copy (cc) Eagles Nest to inform that your child is participating in Eagles Nest. Please include student first and last name, indicate ‘afternoon only’ care, and when/whether school bus will be used.
- Any medication forms - Epi-Pen, Inhaler, etc.;please note that the permission to administer medication form for acute situations must be signed by a physician. Forms are found under the ‘forms’ tab on the Eagles Nest Homepage.
- Updated contact information in your child(ren)’s Power School account- we will not release students to anyone not listed.
AM Eagles Nest Arrival & Drop Off
- Sixth graders-6:30 AM-7:45 AM; they are offered breakfast before they leave for school. After 7:45 AM, sixth graders go directly to the intermediate school, not Eagles Nest.
- Kindergarten through Fifth Grade-6:30 AM-8:55 AM; breakfast ends at 8:15 AM for Eagles Nest students. If you arrive at 8:55 AM or later, either remain in the car drop-off line or park and walk your child to the main entrance.
- For morning drop-off, enter the parking lot nearest the maroon and white Primary School sign. Come through the green double doors (second set of doors), then come to the right to the gymnasium.
After School Student Arrival & Parent Pick Up Procedures
- For student safety, please do not enter at the main entrance and remove your child during the travel/attendance process. We must be accountable for your student’s whereabouts at all times.
- Sixth graders-2:55 PM; they will be picked up at the STEM lab hallway and escorted to F11 in the Primary Building, our Eagles Nest office and homework room.
- Fourth and Fifth graders- 3:40 PM; they will be met by Eagles Nest staff in the STEM hallway on Thursday 8/16, Friday 8/17, and Monday 8/20 to take attendance and to be shown where and how to enter the Primary School. Beginning on Tuesday 8/21 Fourth and Fifth graders will exit by the STEM hallway and walk to the Primary School entrance near the flower beds and attendance will be taken upon arrival.
- Kindergarten- 3:35 PM; they will be transported to the Primary Building from the ELC. Eagles Nest staff will pick them up from the buses, take attendance, and escort them to the Primary Building.
- First, Second, and Third Graders (blue and purple hallways)-3:40 PM; Eagles Nest staff will be in the main lobby area with an Eagles Nest sign. Children will line up outside F11 to take attendance and then they will go get their individual baskets in which to place personal belongings until pickup time.
- First, Second, Third Graders (green and yellow hallways)-3:40 PM; Eagles Nest staff will pick students up near the green hallway where they will take attendance then go to their baskets to place personal belongings.
- For afternoon pickup, come through the green double doors and go to the “gate”, the black cart inside the doorway where Eagles Nest staff will call for your student after checking your ID. Please remain at the gate during the dismissal process. Please allow extra wait time as we teach all students our program expectations.
- We will have a white sign posted outside our entrance. All students must be signed in and out each day. Failure to follow this important safety procedure may result in termination of Eagles Nest services with no tuition refunds.
- Construction on Dublin-Granville Road may impact your commute so please give yourself plenty of travel time.
- Please remember that school bus transportation is not available in the afternoons to students who attend PM Eagles Nest.
- Please be sure your student is aware of his/her schedule- ex - family AM drop off, PM Eagles Nest, etc.
- No ELECTRONICS FOR STUDENTS AND FAMILIES-Please help us maintain a cell phone -free zone during pickup and drop off. This ensures safety and great communication with students and staff!
- Parking in the fire lane against the Primary School is allowed from 3:40 PM - 6:00 PM ONLY. Citations will be issued at other times. Per NAPD (reference ORC 4511.661) all cars must be parked and turned off when the driver is not in the vehicle, no exceptions. Failure to follow this important safety procedure may also result in termination of Eagles Nest services with no tuition refunds.
Safety & Security
- For student safety and security no unattended adults are allowed to walk around the building. If you need to contact someone or travel within the building for any reason, please exit the Eagles Nest doors and proceed to the main entrance. This small inconvenience helps to ensure building safety for all.
- For the health and safety of students and staff, ill children may not attend Eagles Nest. Please look in the handbook for specific information please refer to the handbook.
- Absence reporting: please email eaglesnest@napls.us to report your child’s absence/early pickup (for each occurrence) by 2 pm. Failure to do so will result in a tracking fee.

Eagles Nest Before & After School Child Care Program
The New Albany Plain Local School District School-Age Child Care Program provides quality school-age programming for children attending Grades K-5 or as otherwise approved by the Administration to meet student and family needs.
