Dealey Dragon Update

August 30, 2018

Dear Dealey families, August 30, 2018

Your students have done an excellent job adjusting to the start of the school year. Our classrooms are exceptional learning environments with students engaged in their work plans, collaborating on projects and getting feedback and support from their teachers. It is a pleasure observing students learning how to learn and thriving.

  • We are still using the online registration system. The system will be open until the end of the first 6 weeks so you have plenty of time to complete the process. If you are still not able to enroll by September 7th, then Ms. Villegas will send home paper enrollment forms for you to complete.

  • Please remember to send your student to school in dress code.

Tops: White or Royal Blue (with collars)

Bottoms: Black, Navy or Khaki. These can be pants, shorts or skirts/skorts (must be knee length or longer). Students may not wear LEGGINGS. The uniform colors do not apply to jackets and coats, shoes, or socks. Tennis shoes are required on P.E. days.

On Fridays, students can wear Dealey spirit T-shirts, which can be purchased online or at the Dragon Wagon, which is usually open before PTA meetings or at other big Dealey events.

The last Friday of the month is also jeans day. There are a few other times a year when jean are allowed as well (for example, to raise funds for chicken feed they will have a $1 Jeans Day where you donate $1 to be able to wear jeans).

  • Please praise your student for doing a great job cleaning up at lunch. They are so conscientious in throwing away their trash, wiping the tables and having good manners.

Enjoy your three day weekend! Please contact me with questions or feedback.

Sincerely,

Ms. Wing
