Tyler Elementary Tiger Tribune

August 7, 2020

A world-class school where we engage, educate, & empower all learners with excellence!

Tyler Family,

It's a great day to love & learn! ¡Es un gran día para aprender y amar!

Thank you for joining us last evening in a discussion about some of our Tyler reopening updates. If you were unable to make it, here is our Tyler Reopening FAQs Session presentation which includes Pre-School through Grade 5 Schedule drafts: https://bit.ly/30APE02. In the future, we will plan to record the sessions to increase accessibility as well.

We learned from you yesterday and understand that you seek consistency and flexibility as families with different needs. You appreciate small group instruction, social-emotional learning supports, language development, continued student exploration, and more. In our safe space, you also shared ideas that have helped your family from outings to the Arboretum to enrichment through www.outschool.com. Finally, we still have more information to access and share with you regarding the virtual attendance policies. Class lists will be shared in next week's newsletter on August 14.

If you have not already, please make sure to complete the DCPS Technology survey at http://bit.ly/DCPSTechAccess and check out the DCPS Reopen Strong website at https://dcpsreopenstrong.com/ for FAQs, resources, and more.

We're in this together, so please continue to join us for virtual events and let us know how we can support you! As always, please feel free to reach out to us at any time!

Equity is a value held deeply in our beliefs and hearts as an organization. We will offer scholarships to as many families as possible. Please email if you have any questions or want to sign your child up. We will also reach out to our school communities to get information to families.
