What are our Super Sailors learning this week?

Math

We will finish our unit on Multiplication this week. Students will take the Math Benchmark this week to assess their progress so far this year. We will give the final assessment on Multiplication on Friday, November 20th. We will begin long division the week after Thanksgiving, so please continue to practice memorizing basic multiplication facts 0-12. Students who do not have this memorized may struggle with this concept.

Science

We will continue looking at the different forms of energy this week. Students will learn about the difference between conductors and insulators and will also create their own electromagnet using some wires and a battery. The Electric House Project is due on Thursday, November 19th. This will be counted for a major grade in Science class this quarter. Late projects will result in a deduction of points. Please review the attached rubric that will be used to grade the projects.
