PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES
Dear Parents/Guardians:
Conferences will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 2:00-9:00 PM and on Friday, February 14, 2020 from 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM.
Parents/guardians may schedule their own individual teacher conferences using a web-based appointment system called MEET THE TEACHER. Meet the Teacher allows parents the flexibility to schedule conferences for all of their children at the same time.
The system is set up so that the parent who is designated at school as Guardian 1 may access the system using the steps below. If additional parents wish to schedule separate conferences, they are asked to contact the school office to set up these conferences.
To schedule your conference there are five quick steps:
Go to https://woodstockcommunityunitdistrict200.meettheteacher.com from any internet connected device and enter your information as required on the screen - parent name, email address, student’s name, and student’s birthdate. The system will then bring up the conference schedule for your child’s school. If you have multiple students in the district at different schools, you will see one conference schedule for each school.
CLICK THE SCHOOL you wish to schedule.
CLICK ON THE CLASS or classes you wish to schedule. If you have multiple children at the same school, you can choose classes to schedule for each child.
On the next screen, CLICK on the AVAILABLE TIMES you wish to schedule with each teacher. Once all of the classes have been scheduled.
CLICK on the GREEN BOX to VIEW and PRINT your schedule for this building. If you have children at other schools, follow the prompts to schedule them next.
You may return to this website at any time to review, print or change your conference times.
If you need assistance with scheduling your child’s conferences, please contact the school office. There are scheduling kiosks available at each school for you to use as well.
You are a vital partner in the education of your child. Parent/teacher conferences play an integral role in providing feedback regarding your child’s progress as well as formulating individual plans for success. We look forward to seeing you at conferences in February.
YOUNG AUTHORS
The district will be kicking off its Young Author program this month. The Young Author program gives students the opportunity to write their own book. Books are then judged at the building and district levels. District level winners are invited to participate in the state’s Young Authors’ Conference in Bloomington/Normal. This year the district will also be hosting a “Young Authors’ Showcase Night” where district level winners will have the option of doing a reading of their book for the community. Listed below are some guidelines for Young Authors books. We hope your child will be interested in participating this year!

BLUE PLANET CLUB
The Blue Planet Club at Woodstock High School is collecting old electronics to recycle and earn money for their club. We are helping them by being a drop off point for these items. Place old cell phones, laptops, tablets, printers, and printer cartridges ONLY in the marked blue bin by the office. We can help them raise funds AND help our environment! If you have other electronics to recycle that are not accepted here (TV, microwave, DVD player, keyboard, computer, monitor, etc.) you can find a recycling location at https://www.mchenry.edu/green/greenguide.pdf. Thank you for being responsible with your electronic waste.
