History of Gun Rights

The Second Amendment as an individual right was affirmed by the Supreme Court of the United States in its decision in Dred Scott v. Sandford in 1856. With the rights of slaves in question, the nation’s highest court opined on the intent of the Second Amendment for the first time, writing that affording slaves full rights of American citizenship would include the right “to keep and carry arms wherever they went.”

Why we should have guns

A public that is armed is safer than a public that is unarmed. If every person is trained to use a firearm, how will criminals cope? Criminals of all sorts love defenseless victims. Let's not be victims! Guns save lives in self defense every day. There was also a statistic that countries with less gun ownership has 3 times more murder rate because they couldn't defend theirselves.
