Building Bridges, Keeping Kids First
Dear Builta Families
We truly hope that everyone had a peaceful and restful break. We are so excited to welcome back our Builta students tomorrow, Monday, January 10.
Please make sure your children are ready for the day and have a smooth transition back to school by having face masks, charged chromebook, and school materials. Also, please make sure your students are dressed appropriately for the winter weather and cold temperatures. We go outside for recess everyday that temperatures are 5 degrees (including the wind chill).
On Monday morning, please remember to self-certify your child(ren) in ParentVUE for the month of January. Doing this confirms that you will monitor your child’s health every day and keep them home when they are not feeling well. In ParentVUE you will see a screen asking you to self-certify that your child is symptom free. If this step is not completed and your child is at school, a health services staff member will call you to discuss your child's health status.
If you have not had a chance to do so, please review the updated Quarantine and Isolation information that was emailed out by district on Friday. https://www.ipsd.org/news.aspx?id=112498
Sincerely,
Ms. Morgan

BUILTA YOUNG AUTHORS' PROGRAM
This year all students are invited to participate in the Builta Young Authors Program. The program is a writing competition to showcase Builta writers. To participate students need to write an original story, play, essay, book of poems, graphic novel, or picture book and turn it in to Mrs. De Farno by February 11, 2022. All the submissions from each grade will be given to judges who will choose a grade level winner. Then the grade level winners will be judged to choose a school winner. Grade level winners and the school winner will be announced on March 11, 2022. If you have questions about the Young Authors Program email jill_defarno@ipsd.org
