The Red Cross and PHS National Honor Society will be conducting a blood drive in the Blue Gym on Wednesday, November 13th from Noon - 6 p.m. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are always welcome. All presenting donors will receive a free Red Cross phone holder. If your blood type is O Negative, O Positive, A Negative, or B Negative, please consider a Power Red Cell donation. You can schedule an appointment by going to www.redcrossblood.org and typing 13676 in the Zip/Sponsor Code box and then selecting “Potsdam High School.”
The recent snow leaves no doubt that winter is arriving in the North Country! With the winter season comes hazardous weather and dangerous driving conditions. Our transportation director and superintendent work with local transportation officials early in the morning to determine if students can safely reach school in cases of ice, snow, or other conditions. When a decision is reached, Potsdam Central Schools uses an automated system called One Call Now to quickly send this information to parents and guardians using telephone calls, text messages, and emails. Additionally, this information is posted on our district website and Facebook page and relayed to local television stations, radio stations, and news websites. If you do not currently receive One Call Now notifications and would like to, please click on the button below for more information.
Please help support PHS! We can earn free school supplies and equipment through the Price Chopper “Tools for Schools” program. Please consider enrolling and linking your AdvantagEdge Card to PHS to help us earn points. If we enroll 20 new supporters by November 30th, we will receive 3,000 bonus points. You can enroll at www.pricechopper.com/tools-schools. Our school code is: 49833.
The Potsdam Booster Club has begun their annual Blue & Orange Discount Card sale. Cards cost $10 each and can be purchased from any fall sport athlete or from the main office at the high school. You can also contact Mr. Wilson (firstname.lastname@example.org) directly for purchases. Thank you for your support of the Potsdam Athletic Program.
Can't make it to the game? All Potsdam Modified, JV, and Varsity athletic contests scheduled for the turf field or the high school gym are available through live video stream or video on demand on the NFHS Network. A subscription is required to watch the live stream or the VOD can be viewed for free a short time after the conclusion of the contest. Please contact Mr. Wilson (email@example.com) in the Athletics Office with any questions.
The PHS Library is open Monday through Thursday each week from 2:15 to 4:00 pm for any students to get extra help on homework, to work on a group project, or just to take advantage of a quiet space.
