About waves alphabetical order
Compression- Denser region of a longitudinal wave
Crest- highest Point on a transverse wave
Decibel- Unit for sound intensity dB
Diffraction- The bending of waves around an obstacle
Frequency- The number of wave lengths that pass a fixed point each second.
Intensity- Amount of energy that flows through a certain area in a specific amount of time.
Loudness- Human perception of sound volume. A wave in which the matter in the medium moves back and forth.
Medium Mechanical Wave- A wave that can only travel through matter
Resonance- The process by which an object is made to vibrate
Refraction- The bending of a wave caused by a change in its speed as it travels.
Rarefaction- The less dense region of longitudinal wave.
Trough- The lowest point.
Transverse Wave- The matter in the medium waves at right angles to direction of the wave.
Wave Length- Distance between one point on a wave and the nearest point just like it
