Music with Ms. Astrop
I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and are ready for another week of school. By now all students should have a Quaver account to complete all Music assignments. If not, look below for directions on how to set up your account and for class codes. If you have not completed any of our previous assignments, please make sure to follow the directions in the assignments tab on Quaver to complete any past due assignment.
This Week In Music K-5
All students should report to class on time, bring something they can use as a instrument and ready to learn. If you are a face to face student, you should only bring your device with you to class. An instrument will be provided to all face to face students. Students in 2nd-5th grade will be learning how to read the lines and spaces on the staff. Students in K-1st grade will continue to learn about high and low sounds on instruments.
Remember if you miss the live lesson, you can find the lesson and activity in the "Assignments" tab of your Quaver account. If you have any questions for me you can email me at astropan@fultonschools.org. If you would like to schedule a conference or meeting with me, Click Here to schedule a day and time.
We also need your help. If you have or can find paper towels, gloves, and isopropyl alcohol please help the music department by donating any of these items to us. We use these products everyday to clean instruments so that students can continue to play and have fun.

Greetings and Happy New Year.
Welcome back Cougars. Please continue to work on your Code.org assignment as we look to wrap up that unit in the next few weeks. We missed a couple of weeks due to various activities. Thank you all for your hard work and I hope you enjoyed learning about computer programing. We will use a little of what you learned when we learn about drones this spring. The week of the 18th we will begin our coding project to finish this course. Make sure that you are ready to complete the last lesson by then.
Check your Teams site for more details and a list of current assignments. Make sure that you have submitted the assignments in both places (Code.org and Teams). As always if you have any questions, please send me an email or ask during our live classes.

This week in P.E....
Welcome back for another week of P.E. in person and online! We hope you enjoyed our gymnastics unit for the last few weeks and maybe even learned some new moves. You can always keep practicing gymnastics at home in a safe space to improve your skills.
This week we will be starting our basketball unit. We know a lot of you play basketball outside of school, so we are sure this will be exciting! We will be working on dribbling, passing, and shooting. For those of you who already know how to play basketball, please help your classmates that might be having a hard time learning. Basketball is a great game to play to get your heart rate up and get some exercise. We can't wait to see you in person and online!
** Remember to wear the correct shoes and clothes for P.E. and bring your own water bottle **
