  • For the last Tuesday of the month, teachers are needed in the monthly Falcon Coffee Meeting and there are no clubs that Tuesday. See the calendar for dates.

Anime Club is FULL!!! - Sponsor Myah Williams

Meets Tuesday and Thursday in Portable A-9 from 3:45 to 5:15 Starting Tuesday September 14. Ms. Myah had to add Wednesday to accommodate all the students who want to be in Anime. This club is FULL and now has a waitlist and special sign-in sheet that you must be on, in order to attend.



The purpose of Anime Club is to provide a friendly social environment for those students who are interested in Anime and the Japanese Culture. We watch and discuss Japanese animation (Anime) and Japanese comics (Manga). This Fall 2021- we will be watching “Another” (horror/thriller) , “Classroom of the Elite” (psychological drama) and “Case Closed: Detective Conan” (mystery). All three of these shows are awesome!

D & D Adventurers Club- Sponsor Travis Horne

Meets Monday weekly in Art 2 Room from 3:45-5:15 starting September 13


Students will join together to play Dungeons and Dragons with the guidance of Mr. Horne. Students will create their characters, take those characters on adventures, and enjoy the world's favorite recreational mathematics and literature game.

Dual Language Club

The Dual Language Club will host students in all grade levels at Lively MS. This will be a space where students can practice their Spanish and use the first half of the time to work on any assignment from their DL classes and get support from two DL teachers. In addition, students can work together to better prepare themselves for the Spanish AP exam. The second half of the time will be focused on culture and language enrichment projects that the students will present at the end of the school year. Active members will attend at least three cultural events within the City of Austin and proudly represent Lively Middle School Dual Language Program. The club starts on Tuesday, September 28 and will meet on a bi-weekly basis on Tuesdays from 3:45-5:15 PM in room 209. Encore Dance Club - Sponsor Tristan Fournier

Meets Monday weekly in the Dance Studio from 3:45-5:15 starting October 4


Encore Dance Club is a place where you can come express yourself through movement while learning fun dances and technique! We invite everyone to come join us every Monday from 3:45-5:15p in the Dance Room. Our classes will be beginner through advanced so do not worry if you have never danced before. Some styles we will be working on are; Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Social Dances, Ballet Folklorico and much more. We can't wait to move and groove with you!

Gender Sexuality Alliance - Sponsor Kendall Torres

The Gender Sexuality Alliance, or GSA, is a safe space for LGBTQIA+ students and allies. We engage in school projects and informative presentations, planning for Pride Week, and more!

GT Club meets biweekly on Tuesday starting October 5 in the Cafeteria at 3:45 pm. to 5:15


All grade levels -6th, 7th and 8th graders are welcome to join starting on October 19. Come learn, build projects with friends and go on fieldtrips.


GT Club is a multifaceted enrichment program. It is a safe space where it’s cool to be smart, a chance to build collaboration and social skills, and explore specific interests through a personalized passion project. Additionally, students can go out and spend time in nature, and experience cultural events through field trips.

Jazz Club - Sponsor Bev Michelson (Rea)

Jazz Club meets every Wednesday starting October 6 in the Band Hall

This club is for 7th and 8th grade musicians in the band, orchestra, guitar, or choir program. You must play saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, drumset, piano, bass, or guitar. We will explore big band swing, latin, and rock music and learn improvisation. You must be able to read music at a 7th/8th grade level.

Meets Tuesday in the Library from 3:45-5:15 starting November 9


MGT is a card game that combines chess and poker with high fantasy. Beginners welcome and there will be beginner decks of cards available. Experienced, highly-competitive groups also welcome. Limited to 20 students.

Star Wars Club - Sponsor Sean Addington

Meets Thursday weekly from 3:45-4:45 in Room 301 starting October 7


Students are invited to come explore the Star Wars Universe as it is presented in film and television! The aim of the club is to watch the movies and TV shows in chronological order. Some films are rated PG-13, so you must have parent permission on file to watch these episodes. Pick up the permission slip from Mr. Addington in Room 301.
