Student Attendance - Did you know
- Attendance in schools is compulsory in Alberta for every individual between the ages of 6 and 16.
- Students who attend school regularly have the opportunity to participate more fully in learning activities which increases the likelihood of successfully completing high school.
- Missing 2 days of school a month or 20 days a year starting in Grade 1 is equivalent to missing a full year of schooling by grade 10!
For more information check out our Parent's FAQ page.
The ÉPK Grade 4 Leadership Team presented Rich Horning, from Catholic Social Services, and a staff member from Valeda House, with the $4,312 raised by the Read-A-Thon. It was followed by a brief presentation from the Valeda House representative about how the funds are used.

Come join our team of Volunteers at this summer’s OLPH'S Vacation Bible Camp
The OLPH parish community is looking for adults or older youth (grade 9 and up) to act as leaders at camp this summer.
Perhaps you know someone who is studying to be a teacher, or there is a fantastic student teacher in your school community who might be keen to join us? Many new teachers come through our summer bible camp and gain valuable teaching experience and make connections within our parish. We would welcome their talent and expertise as our camp is run exclusively by volunteers each summer. While it is a gift of your time and energy to help lead, I can assure you it is also an opportunity to deepen your faith as we create a meaningful faith experience for the youth who come to camp.
