Tasleem Jamila uses art as a healing and as a force for education, community organizing, and personal transformation. She is the CEO of My Soul Speaks, a company that creates interactive workshops, presentations, and performances across the world.
Her work highlights the way hip hop, culture, and spoken word theater can contribute to freedom, justice, and equality for all people.
This event is open to the Nazareth College community and the community at large. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers with our speaker as well.

Tasleem Jamila Firdausee is an internationally renowned public speaker, author, holistic educator, and poet. As Founder of My Soul Speaks LLC, her work focuses on social action and community love and revitalization utilizing indigenous holistic modalities. She has spoken and facilitated workshops and retreats globally for over twenty years.
