The Go Green- Culture Team
At AELC, our goal is to be green in all areas on the climate and culture survey. After presenting the results of the Fall Climate survey, The Go Green-Culture Team will lead our campus towards going green in all areas of the survey. This team will be responsible for leading you in many activities that will help us identify what specific actions will help improve our climate.
The results of the Climate Survey will be shared with you during tomorrow's faculty meeting.
Mr. Counter, from the bottom of our hearts...thank you for your dedication to the staff and students of Amelia Earhart. You will be missed...
Update...Water and Plumbing
In case some of you weren't aware:)..a pipe burst causing large amounts of water to flood into the streets. Thankfully, the water didn't reach our boilers (which would have caused electrical issues). DISD's maintenance crew worked on the issue into the night...
I will update you with any additional information tomorrow.
Instructional Rounds, Pt2
The goal of Instructional Rounds is for teams (networks) to go on scheduled walkthroughs while staying focused on the problem of practice. The purpose of this process is for us to develop a shared understanding of what high-quality instruction looks like and what we need to do in order to support it.
This Wednesday, we will begin our first "cohort" of Instructional Rounds with teachers as a key part of this network.
I will share more regarding teams and the protocol during tomorrow's faculty meeting.
Arts Partners...at AELC!
She has been busy scheduling on-campus field trips with Arts Partners for the students of AELC. As a start, when you receive your February calendar, you will see a show scheduled for students in grades PreK-2 has been added to the calendar.
We will compile a list of all of the dates and activities and send them to you.
What's Happening in the Hornet's Nest...

I know there is a lot of great things happening in the Hornets' Nest...it's time to show it off!!!
