Opportunity to attend ISTE for free! Simon Helton, Community Engagement Management for ISTE sent me this email. In every city we host the conference in, we offer a scholarship program for 10 local educators 35 and under to come to the conference for free so that they can go back to their schools and share what they’ve learned. The hope is that we reach folks who wouldn’t otherwise be able to attend. Please share out this information to any younger educators you know that would be interested in attending? To apply, they just need to fill out this form by May 6, 2016. Just a note, the scholarship covers registration, but they’d need to pay for travel expenses. Thanks so much for helping spread the word!
Thanks for your patience and support during testing. Friday super helper Ryan Head and I gathered all the chromebooks, reorganized the carts and placed them back in the communities for use for the remained of the year. Please keep stress to the students about proper use and replacement of the chromebooks in the carts and track users of the chromebooks so that damage to the chromebooks should be minimized.
REMINDER: Adam will be here Monday to finish his inventory. He will be visiting rooms that had equipment at home. I emailed a reminder on Thursday, please have this equipment out for him. Thanks for your help.
The end of the year is closer than it seems.... Look for overdue slips in your boxes on Thursday of this week. Overdue slips will be going home each week until the end of school. The last official day for students to check out books for at home reading will be the week of May 9th. Students will be able to check out books for in building use for projects etc until May 23. All books included library books checked out by teachers need to be returned by May 25, 2016.
