AMS SPRING FOOTBALL INFO
Practice Times will be from 3:40-5:40 (Wed Practice ends at 5:10)
***All paperwork must be completed and turned in before any student may participate in Spring Workouts, which includes up to date physical and insurance info.***
AMS Registration Information for 2016-17
The ACS Board approved the 2016-17 AMS Curriculum Catalog last Thursday night. We are excited to be offering more elective choices next year and the catalog will answer some general questions about all that AMS has to offer. The catalog and registration forms will be posted next week on the AMS Website.
Registration Timeline will be as follows:
Tuesday, May 3 - All 6th Grade students will receive a registration packet to take home and complete
Tuesday, May 3 - Mrs. Barkley will be hosting a registration Informational Meeting for ALL Athens Intermediate 6th Grade parents at 6pm in the cafeteria at AIS.
Tuesday, May 10 - All 6th Grade Registration forms are DUE to their AIS Homeroom Teacher
Current AMS 7th Graders
Tuesday, May 3 - 7th graders will have an assembly to explain the registration process and Wednesday, May 4 - Registration packets will go home via their English Teachers
Tuesday, May 10 - 7th grade registration forms are DUE to their English Teacher
AMS Counselors will be available, after the students and parent informational meetings are held if parents feel they have questions that can not be answered via email, for appointments on Thursday, May 5. Mrs. Winter will be at AIS that day for 6th Gr. Parents and Mrs. O'Rear will be at AMS for 7th Gr. Parents. Please email shana.winter@acs-k12.org and louann.orear@acs-k12.org.

- AMS FCA Meeting at 7:30am in the small auditorium
- AMS Performance Series Test will be given in LA and Math Classes
- Mrs. Barkley will be hosting a registration Informational Meeting for ALL Athens Intermediate 6th Grade parents at 6pm in the cafeteria.
- AMS Spring Choir Concert will be Tuesday, May 3 at 6:30pm in the Auditorium
Wednesday, May 4

AMS Field Day - May 6
We have some great activities planned for our students.
Cost is $10 for a wristband and it will include......
Super Slide, Obstacle Course, Basketball Hot Shot, DJ, Volleyball Area
For an additional cost - Shaved Ice and Concessions will be available
*Wristbands will be on sale the morning of the 6th.
*Student's who owe any type of fee must have the debt cleared before they are allowed to attend field day.
*Only AMS Students are allowed to attend field day. No outside visitors are allowed.

Tools for School Supply Give A Way - July 16, 2016
New Life Assembly of God in partnership with Sole Mission and numerous local businesses is hosting a FREE school supply give-a-way. Items to be given are a backpack, grade level school supplies, a brand new pair of tennis shoes and a voucher for a free haircut. Registration begins May 23rd and is limited to the first 300 Athens City School District students grades K-12. Registration is required, but NO specific income criteria will need to be met in order to receive the free supplies. You may register online at www.athensnewlife.com or Mon-Fri 9am-1pm at the church office (16768 US Hwy 72 W, Athens, AL 35611).

- VB Skills Camp Ages 5-10 8am-11am $50 (Includes T-Shirt) Ages 11 and Up - 1pm -4pm $50 (Includes T-Shirt)
- Hitter and Setter Camp - Ages 11and Up 4pm - 5:30pm $20 (Must be attending skills camp)
