Nuclear engineering is the branch of engineering that uses the principles of nuclear physics such as fusion and fission to generate power to be used as electricity or as nuclear weapons. Someone who possess an interest in nuclear physics would love this field as it is the practical application of nuclear physics.

Nuclear engineers typically work in offices. However, their work setting varies with the industry in which they are employed; for example, those employed in power generation and supply work in power plants

A bachelors degree is all that is necessary though many gain training through the navy on top of their degree.

Nuclear engineers can expect a starting salary of $61,610 which is one of the highest starting salaries of college graduates with a bachelors.
