Raider Nation Staff Newsletter
Week of November 4, 2019
Happy Halloween!
Hello Raider Nation,
Short message this week.
It is hard to believe that we are entering the second marking period. Tempus fugit!
This week (Thursday) we have an administrative PIP that will focus on responding to students with behavioral challenges and strategies to assist you in the classroom. Overall, this PIP will focus on increasing staff understanding of student behavior, ways to support positive behaviors, prevent behavioral crisis, and respond to challenging situations. Come with questions!
As the fall sports season comes to an end, I want to remind everyone that students staying after school MUST be under the supervision of an adult. We cannot have students wandering the building without supervision. If you find a student unattended, please have them report immediately to the front lobby.
Thank you to those who selected a Student of the Month. For October, our focus was relationships -- those students who go above and beyond in building positive relationships in the classroom and school with their peers and teachers. Below are the Student of the Month awardees for October. However, our recognition does not stop there! For those students receiving MULTIPLE nominations, we honor them as our RAIDER OF THE MONTH. We have seven students in this category. Please join me in congratulating Kelis Baker, Sooin Cho, Paige Cohen, Erin Edwards, Sophia Leshchyshyn, Toran Toot, and Vincent Zepf. Each of our Raiders of the Month will receive an item of their choice from the school store and a gift card. Please be sure to recognize our students and continue to build those relationships! A huge shout out to Nicole Payne and Chris Clark for their leadership on this initiative.
Lastly, during RaiderTime this week, Larry Cohen will be at Atholton to deliver his monthly message.
See you tomorrow!
Robert
