Root 5th Grade Making a Difference
Final 5th Grade Lemonade Stand for ALSF
Proceeds go to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation
As part of our 5th grade literacy unit, Learning How Others Make a Difference, we learned about Alex’s Lemonade Stand. Alex was a young girl that was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a type of childhood cancer, shortly before her first birthday. When she was four years old, she told her mom that she wanted to have a lemonade stand to raise money to give to the doctors to allow them to help other kids, like they helped her.
We decided that we wanted to help make a difference by hosting a lemonade stand at Root and raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. We will be selling lemonade in the Root Gym Courtyard on Tuesday, June 2nd for $0.50 a cup. We will of course be taking any donations as well. Please help us make a difference by purchasing a cup of lemonade. When life gives you lemons, like school in June, why not make some lemonade?
Donations can be made to our 5th Grade Root lemonade stand on our direct link:
