I have two more counselor cluster sessions to provide this semester. Those sessions will be conducted in Parker County (Poolville ISD) on December 6th and in Denton County (Pilot Point ISD) on December 16th. Registration is open for these two events, so please check out the ESC Region 11 registration site for details.
I want to reach all 10 counties this spring as well, so contact me by December 1st if you'd like to host a counselor cluster for your area in spring 2020.

Commissioner of Education Rules
The following rule action was filed with the Texas Register on October 17, 2019, for publication in the November 1, 2019 issue:
Summary: The adopted amendment incorporates definitions; requires additional reporting under certain circumstances; details what must be included in the policy addressing sexual abuse, trafficking, and other maltreatment of children; and describes training requirements for new employees and employees not previously trained. The amendment was adopted with changes since published as proposed.
Effective Date: November 6, 2019
The following rule actions were filed with the Texas Register on October 21, 2019, for publication in the November 8, 2019 issue:
Summary: The adopted new rule establishes provisions for Texas Education Agency approval and monitoring of off-campus programs for students receiving special education and related services. The new rule was adopted with changes since published as proposed.
Effective Date: November 10, 2019
Summary: The adopted amendment modifies the rule to provide clarification to new statutory provisions made by House Bill 3906, 86th Texas Legislature, 2019. The amendment was adopted without changes since published as proposed.
Effective Date: November 10, 2019
