Reasons Texans hate reconstruction
Texas very strongly disagreed with Reconstruction because although it had its pros it had too many cons to except. It caused too much conflict amongst citizens and it was economically and morally unfair and corrupt. Texas also strongly disagreed with carpetbaggers because Southern Democrats alleged that the newcomers, who came from the north known as carpetbaggers after the Civil War, were corrupt and dishonest adventurers. Texas didn't want them in the South and believed strongly they would only add more conflict and create dispute. I disagree with Reconstruction and agree with the Texans because its unfair and it dose not represent the reputation of America being a free country.
