We are in Quarter 2! Can you believe it? Here are our big updates for this week:

1. HoCo Dress Up Days (see flyer below). Students must come in appropriate dress. Students may not show bellies, cleavage, or wear revealing clothing.
2. HoCo Court Voting in ADVISORY!
3. Tutoring is available! Make sure your child attends tutoring if they are failing or behind in their classes. See flyer below.
4. Morning Tardy Update: we need your help. Parents, please drop off your student or make sure they arrive no later than 8:45AM. All students who receive their 3rd 1st/5th period tardy will report straight to the Reset Center for that period.

This week KICKS OFF OUR HOCO Dress Up Days!
Monday: Teacher/Student Swap Day
Students dress up like your favorite teacher! Teachers, dress up like your favorite students!
Tuesday: Barbie vs Oppenheimer
Choose to dress in pink or dressy like
Barbie, or in dark business clothing like suits for Oppenheimer. Students may choose to
dress up as their favorite Barbie following the clothing guidelines listed above. Students
may also choose to wear clothing representing the 1940’s for Oppenheimer.
Wednesday: Green Out & Wear Your Mums
Wear all GREEN OR spirit day attire (class shirt or any school shirt). Students may wear GREEN jeans OR jeans with GREEN designs/painted.
During this week, students will be allowed to dress in accordance with the day’s
theme. These days are not considered “dress down days”. Students who are not dressed
according to the day’s theme must be dressed in school uniform. Students out of dress code
will be required to change clothes before returning to class.
No tank tops, spaghetti straps, low-cut tops, transparent, or “net-style” tops or tops
where the midriff is showing when the hands are raised.
No leggings or yoga pants.
No bodysuits
No props. Ex: canes, swords, toy guns, etc.
Skirts/shorts/skorts should be no higher than 5 inches above the knee.
No rips, tears, print/design, or holes in pants.
Graphic designs or symbols that are offensive or inappropriate should not be worn.
If there is an item that is questionable, please have your student show the clothing
to the AP for approval prior to wearing the clothing.
The administration will serve as final authority in matters related to dress
code. Additionally, the administration reserves the right to require a student
to change clothes before being readmitted to class. We suggest that every
student bring their school uniform in case they are asked to change. Your
cooperation is needed and appreciated in making this an enjoyable week for
the students.
Family and Community Engagement
Bryan Adams Families, DISD is asking for families to complete this form about family and community engagement at BA.
They challenged us to get 235 responses by Oct 31st and I told them our parents could meet that goal this week!!!
