Hey there, Coyote families!
Can you believe it? Tomorrow marks the official start of fall, and it seems like our students have already found their groove. They're settling in nicely with their teachers and getting comfortable in their classrooms. It's wonderful to see them embrace the new school year with such enthusiasm!
But before we dive headfirst into autumn, we wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude. Thank you to each and every one of you who supported our Raise Craze fundraiser. Our Coyotes truly stepped up to the plate and completed numerous Acts of Kindness, making our community proud. Your generous donations have been pouring in, and we couldn't be more thankful.
Guess what? Our fundraiser isn't over just yet! We're keeping the doors open for one more week, so if you haven't had a chance to contribute or want to help us reach our goals, there's still time to get involved.
Now, let's talk about volunteers. We can't stress enough how much we value and appreciate our volunteers. You've been the backbone of our school community, and your dedication has made a world of difference. But here's the scoop – we're in need of more Spanish-speaking volunteers. If you're fluent in Spanish or know someone who is, we'd love to have you join our volunteer team. Your language skills can open up new avenues for communication and support within our school.
As we embrace the changing seasons and settle into our school routine, let's remember that our community thrives on collaboration and kindness. Thank you for being an essential part of our Coyote family. Together, we can make this school year a fantastic one!
Happy Retirement Mrs. Gayden
Some bittersweet and exciting news: Our amazing Librarian, Karen Gayden, is hanging up her librarian hat at the end of October. It was a big decision for her, but she's decided it's time to focus on herself and her family. We are not too worried, this isn't a final farewell – Mrs. Gayden has plans to visit TOES and lend a hand as a volunteer whenever possible.
Mrs. Gayden has been at TOES for nearly two decades! She started out as a devoted TOES mom when her son, Matthew, was a coyote roaming our school. She was even a member of our PTO, talk about dedication! Then, she switched gears and became a Kinder Aide for three awesome years in Ms. Hovland's class. From there, she joined the intervention team for two more years, helping out with small groups of students. And then, she took on the legendary role of Twin Oaks' beloved librarian.
As our librarian, Mrs. Gayden has been a pivotal piece of our learning community. She's been the support for our educators through The Wheel program, sparked that love for literature in countless students, and kept our trusty chromebooks in check. There's probably a ton more she's done that we don't even know about – the ultimate behind-the-scenes hero!
Twin Oaks gives a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Gayden. her thoughts, creativity, and unwavering contribution to our school and community are nothing short of legendary. You'll be missed, Mrs. Gayden, but we know this isn't the end of your amazing journey. We will be honoring her at our Spirit Rally on Friday, September 29th.
