The Respiratory System
About the Respiratory system
In the lungs, the oxygen is moved into the bloodstream and carried through the body. At each cell in the body, the oxygen cells are switched for waste gas called carbon dioxide because that is what humans let out. The bloodstream then carries this waste gas back to the lungs where the waste gas is removed from the blood stream and then exhaled from the body. Then the whole process starts again and much faster.
The lungs are one of the main things that keep you alive because without breathing you would die. The lungs are located in your center chest and the main function is to help you breathe by bringing fresh air in and putting bad air out. Fresh(Oxygen) Bad(Co2).
