Principal's Perspective
Fall is officially here! Colder weather requires jackets and sweatshirts. Please be sure these are labeled for your child. Our lost and found is growing exponentially!
It's been so much fun having families join us again at lunch times!! We've enjoyed connecting with you during these visits. A couple of reminders:
- Sign up in advance with this link.
- Be sure you have a current background check prior to arriving for your lunch time. Many background checks that were initiated four years ago are starting to come up for renewal. Please double check yours and watch your emails for their 30 day warning.
- Do not bring outside (fast food) items for lunch. You are more than welcome to bring a home packed lunch to enjoy with your child, but we kindly ask that you respect these guidelines for the health and safety of our students.
NWEA reports should be shared today or early next week. Please note these are indicators of your child's progress and we use them to respond to student needs. We also use other data points, observations, etc. to assess your child's understanding of essential standards and concepts. Please reach out to your child's teacher should you have any questions about these reports.
Have a great weekend!
In partnership,
Mary Beth Riley

Lunch Visitors at MGES
We are opening up the opportunity for family members to join their child/children for lunch! For student safety and to accommodate our limited cafeteria seating, we are allowing our families to visit once a trimester. To be prepared for our guests and to check the Safe Visitor Registration of incoming visitors (this is required for every visitor) please make sure you register 24 hours in advance.
We allow 5 visitors per grade level lunch. Please use one slot per person signing up. Due to limited space, visitors will be sitting with their child(ren) at their classroom tables. You have the option of bringing in a home packed lunch or purchasing a lunch at school. No fast food will be allowed at this time. Lunch menus can be found here. The price for an adult lunch is $4.70.
Picture Retakes are Oct 11, 2022!

Join the WWS Team!
Westfield Washington Schools is committed to meeting the needs of each student. The best way to accomplish our mission and vision is to ensure that every position in the district is filled with a caring individual dedicated to ensuring each student learns and grows. Being part of a dynamic team, working to ensure each student achieves their full potential is inspiring and energizing. Applying and working as an Instructional Assistant (IA) in one of our schools is an excellent career choice for individuals who would like to make a profound difference in the lives of children. All nine schools currently have open IA positions. We offer full-time and part-time positions. Our IA positions allow parents to work during their students' school schedule - thus eliminating the need for child care - while directly contributing to the success of their student’s school. We operate at optimal levels when we are fully staffed with IAs.
If you are interested in joining our team, please contact your building principal or assistant principal or click here to apply. If you have any questions about these opportunities, please contact Stacy McGuire, Assistant Director of Human Resources, at mcguires@wws.k12.in.us.
