Looking to Make a Difference in the Lives of Children?
Barclay Elementary—right across 611—is looking for Titus parents who are interested in working part-time (about 4-5 hours a day) as instructional assistants. Like Titus, Barclay is a special place, with many opportunities to support children’s academic and social success. Work in a caring and supportive environment and be able to follow your own children’s school schedule. We can ensure that you’re available to see your Titus children off in the morning and welcome them home in the afternoon. If you’re interested in making a difference, e-mail Dr. Joe Brereton at jbrereton@cbsd.org. Please introduce yourself, include your resumé, and tell him you are a Titus parent or guardian. We look forward to hearing from you!
Technology and Innovation Update
Currently, the Technology and Innovation Department blocks Microsoft Office 365 logins to Outlook, OneDrive, ClassLink, and Canvas from foreign countries. This aids in protecting our CBSD user accounts and organization from malicious computer attacks from outside of the United States.
Students who travel cannot assume their devices will work once they leave the United States. For student out-of-country access requests, please know that access to technology for vacations will not be approved at this time.
Veterans Day 2021
We are thrilled to be able to extend an invitation once again to the family members of any current student who serve or served in the United States military to join us on Thursday, November 11th. We simply want to honor the veterans in our families as we gather for what has become a treasured annual event.
We want everyone to feel comfortable and be safe, so this year we are hosting 3 assemblies to allow for adequate spacing.
9:00 AM – Grade 1, Grade 2, and AM Kindergarten
10:00 AM – Grade 3 and Grade 4
2:15 PM – Grade 5, Grade 6, and PM Kindergarten
We understand that siblings might be attending different assemblies. We ask that veterans pick one assembly to attend, and we will arrange for the other siblings to join us at the end for a picture with their vet. Please understand that we are doing multiple assemblies to keep everyone comfortable and healthy!
FOR SECURITY REASONS, YOU MUST RSVP. WE NEED TO KNOW WHO WILL BE COMING INTO OUR BUILDING. A RSVP IS REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION.
Please use this link to RSVP for this event by November 5th. https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=j0gLqp78hUGl4zhCIN8jyhF-qMX2o-lLhr9SVYTBh8xUNFoxOVpOWkQ0MlE5WDZKSjNXSVdVTUM4SS4u

Paws for Pride
Congratulations to last week’s Paws for PRIDE winners: Eliana Y, Max B, Zach I, Eliana P, Krish R, Owen F, Lily C, and Mrs Duffy’s 5th grade class!
Keep up the great work, tigers and thank you for demonstrating our traits (Pride, Respect, Individual Responsibility, Determination, and Empathy)!
Sparks
Welcome back to Sparks. You will be receiving these articles on a regular basis through your building’s newsletter with the goal of career education for all Central Bucks students.
Last spring, the students in grades 3-6 were introduced to Smart Futures. Smart Futures is an online career development platform which focuses on grade-specific activities for students and manages the outcomes of the activities in a portfolio which meets the required PA Career Readiness Standards. Classroom teachers will be working with students in Smart Futures. Last year students in grades 3-6 completed a limited number of activities but this year we will be asking all elementary students to complete the activities for their grade. Any student who chooses, can do the activities in the previous grade band to have a complete portfolio for career readiness. For the most part, students can do the earlier activities independently so it might be an opportunity for you to see Smart Futures at home with your daughter or son. We are asking students not to go beyond the activities assigned to their grade.
SF allows students to discover what they like to do, learn about careers they might want to investigate and even how to develop a budget. To learn more about SF, watch this short video and you can always ask your child to log onto SF to see what they are learning.

HOME & SCHOOL ASSOCIATION INFORMATION
Home and School Updates
Save the Date for the Titus Secret Shop!
The Titus Secret Shop will take place from November 29th to December 3rd. We are excited to bring back this annual experience for our students so they can shop for holiday gifts for their loved ones.
Volunteers and donations are needed to make this event a success.
Volunteers are needed to help set-up/breakdown, wrap gifts, restock items, and help students shop. A sign-up genius with volunteer needs will be in next week's Tiger Times. As a reminder, all volunteers must have the required CBSD clearances.
Are you crafty, have a small business, or have extra gift bags laying around? We are looking for volunteers to donate items that can be sold at the event, and holiday themed gift bags that we can wrap purchased items in. For more info and to sign up to donate, click HERE.
Titus Home & School General Meeting
The 1st General Meeting of the Titus Home & School Association will be held on Thursday, November 18th at 7:30 p.m. at Titus. We hope that you will join us to learn more about Home & School and the projects that we are working on.
Coming Soon - Titus Home & School Newsletter
The Titus Home & School Association will have its own newsletter to keep parents, caregivers, and teachers up-to-date on everything Home & School! The newsletter will be published electronically on the 1st and 15th of each month. Stay tuned for the inaugural edition coming soon!
Box Tops
Did you know that you can earn money for Titus just by buying groceries?
That’s right! You can help support the Titus Home and School Association by utilizing the Box Tops for Education program in any (or all) of the following ways!
1) Download the Box Tops for Education App and scan your receipt every time you shop in store.
2) Create an account at www.boxtops4education.com and forward your digital receipts (from online grocery shopping) to receipts@boxtops4education.com for credit.
3) Collect the older “clip” version of Box Tops (the ones you cut out that have an expiration date) and send them to school in a baggie labeled with your child’s teacher’s name. There is a collection box in the main office.
4) Don’t want to bother with the app or email? Send in your grocery receipts to school and we’ll take care of the scanning. Label the receipt with your child’s teacher’s name and have your child place it in the Box Tops collection bin in the main office. (All receipts must be received within 7 days of purchase to allow time for scanning before they expire.)
Every little bit helps! If you have any questions about the Box Tops program or need help with the app, contact Stephanie Wolff at srwolff2@verizon.net.
