Unity Day 2021
Ohlone Elementary School
A Wonderful Day
Unity Day was a beautiful thing at Ohlone. In the morning, students gathered around the field and connected orange pieces of paper with messages of inclusiveness and acceptance. We formed a schoolwide chain that connected all classrooms and we sang a few rounds of "Make New Friends". We hung our united messages of kindness, inclusion, and acceptance on the outside of the G Building terrace for all to see. We are committed to caring for each other every day of the year.
A HUGE thank you goes out to Jay Gluckman for his organization and passion for Unity Day. Jay and Elsa worked together to pull off this amazing event and our gratitude cup runneth over. Our PTA parent volunteers supported fun activities that centered around inclusiveness and were just plain fun! The kids were thrilled. Thank you to our parents for adding joy at Ohlone. We have missed your presence and look forward to more moments like this.
Please enjoy the pictures from Unity Day. We will continue these messages of unity in our community throughout the year :).
