Greetings, Disney families!

The 2nd semester is well underway here at Disney! Students at all grade levels are demonstrating growth towards mastery of grade-level skills on the iReady assessment. Teachers are engaged in professional development supporting highly effective math teaching practices. And our support staff continues to provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for our students every day! I am so appreciative of our team, and thankful for you--this wonderful community!

Parents of 4th graders may be especially interested in a timeline coming up--the application window to be considered for an SPS "Choice Program"--Academy of Exploration, Academy of Fine and Performing Arts, and WOLF. If your child is interested in participating in one of these programs in 2021-22 as a 5th grader, please check our district website at www.sps.org/choice.

Valentine's Day will soon be upon us, and this is typically a festive time when we would welcome parent volunteers for class celebrations, etc. Due to COVID protocols, however, we will continue to look forward to a date in the future when we can welcome our parent volunteers. I appreciate your patience with this, and will continue to update you when, and if, our procedures change.
