3 More Weeks!

Hello Families!

There are 3 more weeks of "online" school and things will look a bit different beginning this week. Our teachers are coming to school in small groups to collect student materials for distribution and pack up their classrooms. You may notice their Zoom Hours are cancelled, depending on when they are scheduled to come onto campus.

This is our last week of the Bethke Online Activities. Beginning next week, May 11th, we will be returning to the District Choice Boards of Activities. You will notice most of the activities will not require technology, as we are asking you to return library books and technology on May 11th-May 13th. Also, completion of these activities will not count towards grade promotion or be documented in any way in students permanent record. The schedule is below. The district procedures for collecting your student's materials are also below, and were emailed on Friday.

The last week of school, the week of May 18th, we will host Zoom Parties for our 5th graders. More information on that will be coming.

Please visit to access your child’s Week 7 Activity Boards.

Remember that the district choice boards are also available if your student needs additional activities. Our goal is to provide learning and enrichment for our students without creating undue stress on families during this already stressful time.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child's teacher.

A Note from Our Counselors:

Hello, Bethke Bison!

We want to take this opportunity to reach out and let everyone know that we are here to support everyone in our Bison community. Each week in the Bison Bulletin, we will provide short yet relevant information from our district and a link to request to speak with a counselor. A social-emotional learning lesson will be added to the Bethke Weekly Learning Choice Board beginning the week of April 13.

We love and miss our Bison herd and are here to support you J

30 Day Kindness Challenge!

The COVID-19 pandemic has negatively impacted us all in a variety of ways. To combat this challenging time, we are encouraging students and staff to participate in 30 Days of Kindness beginning on Monday, April 6, 2020. Kindness will not stop the spread of the virus, but the hope is to brighten someone’s day and add some positivity to our lives and community. In a time where physical distancing is required, social and emotional connectedness is even more vital to a person’s well-being.

To spread kindness more widely, share pictures and posts using the hashtags #deepkindness, #KatyCommUNITY, and #KatyStrong. We would like to highlight students and staff across the district for their participation in the 30 Days of Kindness. See the challenges below for the first 7 days!
