Coppell ISD to Honor School Lunch Heroes: School Lunch Hero Day is May 5, 2017
Coppell ISD’s school nutrition staff strives to make lunchtime the most favorite part of every student’s day. From their friendly greetings in the cafeteria and the love they dish out with every student’s meal, to how they encourage kids to eat more fruits and vegetables, our school nutrition professionals are truly heroes.
On Friday, May 5, Coppell ISD will celebrate School Lunch Hero Day! We encourage both learners and staff to show their appreciation for their school nutrition superheroes as part of this celebration.
School Lunch Hero Day is a nationwide celebration hosted by Jarrett J. Krosoczka, author and illustrator of the popular LUNCH LADY graphic novel series, the School Nutrition Association and Random House Children’s Books. Inspired by his own childhood school lunch hero, Jean J. Cariglia, Jarrett J. Krosoczka created the popular LUNCH LADY series of graphic novels for kids, starring a crime-fighting school nutrition professional and her faithful sidekick, Betty.
School Lunch Hero Day gives schools and communities the opportunity to thank the school nutrition professionals who serve 30 million students each day. Creative ideas, downloads in English and Spanish and additional details are available at www.SchoolLunchHeroDay.com or www.SchoolNutrition.org/SLHD.
Between preparing healthy meals, adhering to strict nutrition standards, navigating student food allergies, and offering service with a smile, Coppell ISD’s school nutrition professionals truly are the best of the best!

AP Score Information (Things to keep in mind to get your scores this summer)
Students will receive access to AP scores based on their location starting on Wednesday, July 5. We ask that you help your students get ready, particularly those who have never taken an AP Exam before, by taking the steps below:
• Fill in AP answer sheets carefully and consistently at exam time. Especially important are name, date of birth, sex, mailing address, and email address.
• Sign up now for a College Board account on the student AP scores website. It's required to get scores. Some students may already have an account, so have them confirm this by signing in.
• Remember account username and password, and 2017 AP number (or student ID number if they provided it on their AP answer sheet).
