Cheer on our Eagles at State! 🏀

Friday is the kick off for the 2023 C.K. Glover State Basketball Tournament! Cheer on our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade teams this weekend, and don’t forget to look out for our #EaglesInDisguise playing with combined teams! (Alaina is playing with John Carroll 8th; Jack, Elliott, Bryson, and Jackson are playing with SEAS 8th). Brackets and game times available on the CGSAA site.

Free Throw = Free Dress Day!

Mrs. Goldsworthy made her free throw at the pep rally on Friday, so next Friday, March 10th will be a free dress day for students! Parents, make sure students follow free dress day guidelines.

Join the Fun at Fine Arts Night!

This coming Tuesday evening is our annual Fine Arts Night, where students get to showcase their talents in singing, recitation, dancing, and more! Performers have been practicing, and you’re in for a treat! Our show starts at 5:30pm in the gym. We’ll also have an intermission for the audience to purchase delicious and delightfully decorated cupcakes submitted by our student bakers! There will be awards for best Flavor, Presentation, and Originality! Submit Cupcake Contest entries in the gym from 5:00-5:25 pm. Make sure students fill out and attach the Cupcake Contest entry form to their submission, or it will not get judged. If your student plans to participate in the cupcake contest, help us get an estimate so we set up the right amount of tables.

Time & Talent - Help at Fine Arts Night!

Need some Time & Talent? We have several ways you can help at Fine Arts Night! Please sign up before Tuesday!

8th Grade Players vs. Coaches!

Join us in the school gym on Friday, March 10th! An old St. Eugene tradition, following the end of the basketball season, is a game of 8th grade players vs. coaches! All families are invited to come cheer on coaches and players during the game, as well watch the 3-pointer and free throw shootouts! St. Eugene 6th-8th grade students may sign up to compete in the 3-pointer or free throw competition. Email Mr. Hartmann at basketball@steugeneschool.org to sign up. The concession stand will be open, and the Athletic Commission will have some awesome Eagle swag available for purchase. Pre-Game starts at 6pm, main event at 7pm.

Eagle Excellence

Congrats to all our students who participated in the Archdiocesan Spelling Bee this past week! They represented our school so well. It’s a nerve-wracking experience with 30 students in each division, and we are so proud of our students! Special congratulations go out to the following students: Kachi Uba - 1st place in the 1st/2nd grade division; Priya Makel - 2nd place in the 1st/2nd division; Deena Titajani - 5th place in the 7th/8th division. Well done!

News on Repeat

Come Exercise Your Creative Muscles! Join us Mar. 31 and May 5 at 9:30am in the Atrium to help prepare materials for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. No need to be a celebrated artist. We'll be touching up paint on small figurines and making paper and other materials as needed. Contact Christie Ardoin at goodshepherd@steugenes.org with questions. And visit our webpage to find out more about this beautiful children's ministry.

Still Need Safe Environment? We still have a lot of people wanting to volunteer who have not completed Safe Environment. ALL ARCHDIOCESAN/PARISH/SCHOOL EMPLOYEES & ADULT VOLUNTEERS who have contact with minors or vulnerable adults must complete the new online Safe & Sacred Training (2020) including a background check. Until all steps have been completed in the online training portal, employees and volunteers may not serve at the parish/school or organization. Please complete this google form to send in your name and email address to Jennifer Goodrich so that she can send you information to begin the process! You must have updated SE if you plan on driving on field trips, being a homeroom parent, or coaching a team, etc.

Please Pray For...
