FOND FAREWELL AND REMINDERS
It wasn’t easy - but we made it. It was almost impossible to envision what this school year would look like when the planning began last summer. Looking back, it was quite a ride but here we are on this last full day of school (and last day for Kindergarteners and Preschool students). I want to take a moment to thank you for your patience and partnership as we navigated this school year which clearly had no roadmap. I want to thank you for the support you gave your students when they were home for extended periods of time. I want to thank you for supporting them as many returned and experienced our buildings and classrooms in new ways. I want to thank you for supporting our teachers, school leaders and all staff members who were pushed into unfamiliar and at times uncomfortable situations. None of this was easy, but together, we got through it.

Summer Programs
If you are participating in summer programs through Framingham Public Schools, please await guidance from the organizing department. While there will be a mix of risk mitigation efforts in place, the specific details will be shared with you shortly.
Looking Ahead
For our staff and many FPS families, summer is a time to take a break from the structure of the school year. For many of us in Central Office, it is a (slightly) quieter time to plan for the next year. While our staff will take some much needed time to reflect and plan for the fall - there are still many things happening:
Staff members will be moving, some to temporary spaces while we work to create new office space in the Farley Building on Flagg Drive
We will be planning the opening of a Welcome Center in the fall as an expansion to what’s always been known as the Parent Information Center. (More to come on this!)
We will be working on the elements to rename Woodrow Wilson Elementary School to Harmony Grove Elementary School, as well as the details on the celebrations for the renaming and the grand opening of the new Fuller Middle School.
The District will be working on a website upgrade with a new logo.
We will be welcoming new Central Office staff and will share more on this as folks arrive and get settled.
Summer Meals
Free Breakfast and Lunch will be available for students at Woodrow Wilson (Harmony Grove Elementary School) and Cameron Middle School from 9am-12pm, Monday through Friday until 8/27.
Also, the Framingham Library has free Lunches for students available on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am-12pm until 8/27.
We hope you have a wonderful summer break and look forward to welcoming you and your children back for the 2021-2022 school year!

COVID-19 Vaccines
People ages 12 and older who live, work, or study in Massachusetts can get vaccinated against COVID-19. Children ages 12-17 can only receive the Pfizer vaccine and should take certain steps before getting the vaccine. People age 18 and older can get any vaccine. The vaccine is safe and effective. An ID or insurance is not needed to get it.
Pre-registration for COVID vaccines has closed. Use VaxFinder.mass.gov to search for a vaccine appointment at locations including mass vaccination, regional collaborative, health care, pharmacies, grocery stores, or local Boards of Health. Individuals without access to the internet or who are unable to schedule their appointment online can call toll free 2-1-1 or (877) 211-6277 for assistance.
Please remember it is possible to get COVID-19 even after you are vaccinated. If you have any other symptoms such as a runny nose, sore throat, cough, or loss of sense of smell or taste, stay home from work, avoid close contact with others, get PCR tested, and contact your healthcare provider. It takes several weeks for the body to build immunity after vaccination. Please continue to wear a mask, maintain 6ft physical distance, practice frequent hand washing, and stay home when sick.
