Together...We are Continuing the Tradition of Excellence
Return to School
We hope that you and your family are safe and well. Thank you for partnering with us to accomplish our educational mission during this unique school year.
Please use this link to view the district's announcement requiring all students to return to campus on or before November 2, the first day of the third grading period.
We are encouraging @home learners to return to Moore as early as Monday, October 19. This will allow students to work directly with their teachers for two weeks prior to the end of the second grading period. Returning students are required to return Chromebooks, purchase a $10 Student Agenda, collect your personal student ID badge, ensure that immunization records are up to date, and complete requests for bus transportation via online registration.
Plans to host an orientation for returning students will be communicated as soon as they are finalized. Make sure that you are able to receive the latest updates by registering for text alerts in the Tyler ISD Parent Portal.
See you soon,
Aubrey Ballard
Principal
2nd Six Weeks - Academic Focus
Teachers are continuing to plan and deliver rigorous instruction on a daily basis. Attendance each day is crucial to keeping up with the pace. Students are encouraged to show personal responsibility and individual determination by completing all class work to their very best ability, and to take advantage of a number of support programs on campus. Some are listed below. Parents can monitor student grades and register for notifications in the Tyler ISD Parent Portal.
- Welcome back to our new Face-to-Face Learners! All students should plan to attend morning tutorials from 7:45-8:20 each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. No appointment required.
- Students learning @home may continue to participate in weekly virtual tutorials. Times are posted in your Canvas classes.
- Students using Canvas for the first time. Click here for a Canvas tutorial.
Mustang Round Up
This academic support program begins on Monday, October 12. Students will participate in intervention and extension activities each Monday, during the second half of first period.
FLEX
On Wednesday, October 21, students must return their progress report with a parent signature. Students with a 73 and above in all classes may participate in an activity during the last period of the day. Students with any grades below a 73 will be given an opportunity to work directly with their teacher for extra assistance.
BUG Goals
This stands for "Bring Up Grades". Along with their mentor teacher, students will set goals for the upcoming grade reporting period. Students who meet their academic goals will be able to participate in a College Colors Jeans Day on Friday, November 6.

Leader in Me: Parent/Student Survey
As we role out Tyler ISD's character education program, Leader in Me, your feedback will be helpful. By filling out the survey below, you will help us see which areas to focus on the most.
Complete Application for Free and Reduced Lunch Prices
Children need healthy meals to learn. Tyler ISD offers healthy meals every school day. Breakfast is free at all campuses; lunch is $2.25 for middle school.
Applications for free and reduced lunch must be completed each school year. If you have not completed one for this year, your child will stop receiving free lunches on October 1. Please use the link above to apply, or come by the front office to pick up your application form.
We also want an accurate count of the number of students who are eligible for free and reduced lunch. Our campus receives Federal grant money in proportion to the amount of students who participate in this program. These funds allow us to provide resources and opportunities to our students. Please complete your application today!
