School Report Card
The State of Texas 2017-18 School Report Card for Rennell has been publically released and is now posted on our campus website.
This is a report required by the Texas Legislature and prepared by the Texas Education Agency. It is to be sent to the parent or guardian of every child enrolled in a Texas public school. The report provides information concerning student performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR), as well as information on student enrollment, class size averages, and financial expenditures.

Saving Energy
Our Rennell Watt Watchers have been diligently patrolling the school! They are very serious about saving the district money and conserving energy! We have seen a decrease in wasted energy at Rennell! This is great news! Each month a report is submitted to the district and they calculate how much energy the district is saving. What’s great about this is that we can see how other campuses are doing in comparison to Rennell. We are saving energy each month, but we can do more! Each area is patrolled 3 times a week. We want to recognize areas that are being proactive and conscious of turning off their lights, computers, lamps, and making sure electricity is not on when not in use. The area that that does the best for the month of February will get a Watt Watcher surprise! So let’s all work together and make sure that we are conserving our resources and we beat the other campuses in energy conservation! Our Watt Watcher team won first place for our video, so let’s win again with energy conservation! Remember: Think, Act, Save- Be Polite and Turn off the Light!

Many thanks to all those families who attended our district book festival and made it a great success! Stay tuned for more district reading news!
Author Barbara O'Connor helped Third thru Fifth Grade students this past week learn how to "show not tell" in their writing. We are so grateful to those families who purchased books for her to sign and for the amazing behavior of all the Redhawk spectators! She said she was amazed at the students' awesome behavior and the friendliness of everyone who came to see her performance!
