We are looking for extra large t-shirts for our art class to help us keep our students' clothes clean while creating and painting. If you have some extra you are looking to get rid of, you can drop them off in the front office.
Cardboard Please!
We are making magic here at Advantage Arts Academy and could use large cardboard boxes for several art projects.

After School Clubs
Strings Ensemble
THERE WILL BE NO STRINGS ENSEMBLE UNTIL JANUARY.
Drama Club
This Fall for Drama Club we are doing three short plays, one for each grade level 4th-6th. There are 15 spots available for our 4th grade play,15 spots available for our 5th grade play and 15 spots available for our 6th grade play. Everyone who signs up will have a role in the play. Once all the slots are full, we are not accepting anyone else, sorry. We will have our first meeting on September 13th and then meet every Tuesday, 3:30-4:30pm, until our performances in December (exact dates to be determined). Parents need to pick up their children right at 4:30. (Younger and non-participating siblings cannot stay.)
If you have any questions, please email Miss Thomas at ethomas@advantagearts.org.
Art Club
This fall, AAA will have 2 art clubs—one for Grades 1-3 and one for grades 4-6. Each club is limited to 21 students and will be evenly distributed amongst the grades on a first come first serve basis. Each art club will meet on alternate weeks thru December (exact dates to be determined). A schedule will be sent out once club meetings begin.
Students are asked to bring an 8.5 x 11 sketch book and pay a $20 materials fee the first meeting. (There is a limited amount of fee waivers available—so do not let that stop you from signing up!). We are also requiring that students miss no more than 2 meeting without a valid
excused absence. Please pick students up promptly at 4:30 and other siblings cannot stay during that hour. If you have any questions, email Ms. Parks at jparks@advantagearts.org.
Counselors Corner- Leader In Me
Happy fall y'all! Our theme will be the seven habits of giving kids for the months of November and December. In November, we will learn about Habit Two - Begin with the end in mind. Habit two teaches students to consider what matters most, set goals, and have a plan. We hope that in learning and applying habit two, AAA students will do meaningful things and make a difference.
Feel free to contact me at aranger@advantagearts.org if you have additional questions or if I can support your student in any way.
Thanks,
Amanda Ranger
