Dear Families,

It has been an exciting week! It has been so wonderful to see children on the campus and hear them singing and giggling. Being together has really helped many of us to re-ignite our enthusiasm during stressful times. For those still at home, know we miss you and enjoy seeing you on the ZOOM sessions too. Thank you for your patience as we all practice how to juggle both sets of students at the same time. We know this is tough for families too and appreciate all you do to support learning from home. Let's keep working together to keep everyone safe and learning the best we can. Our team of parents, students and staff are really working together--- TIGERS taking care of TIGERS!

Have you had a Virtual HOME VISIT yet?

We believe the connection between home and school is an important one. Parents, teachers, and students are all on the same team with the same goal--- your student's success. When you allow a home visit, time is taken to share your hopes and dreams for your student, academic expectations, and offer school resources. Home visits are not parent/teacher conferences. They are meant to "get to know each other" and to build a viable relationship for the academic benefit of your student.

Although we cannot visit the physical homes at this time, we can still connect with your family through a personal ZOOM visit scheduled at a time convenient for you. Our staff will be reaching out to you in the next few weeks, or, you can

We look forward to meeting with you and your student!

MAP --Measuring Academic Progress

A HUGE THANK YOU to all of the staff and parents who made it possible for us to accomplish 76% of our students' assessments the first week! YOU ARE ALL AMAZING!!!

It is VERY important for us to know what YOUR CHILD remembers and then what they are now ready to learn----especially since we have not been able to meet in our personal learning settings.

If you student tests next week or is asked to test again for more accurate results, PLEASE REMEMBER TO ALLOW THEM TO ANSWER ON THEIR OWN. This is diagnostic. If we don't have the answers from the student, it is as useless as me representing you on your doctor appointments. You don't want the doctor to put YOU on a diet because I am overweight, right?

We appreciate you helping us get the information we need to individualize a learning plan for every student. If your student still needs to be tested, watch your family email for information about how to link with us next week You are an invaluable part of our team!
