Dear Parents
Today is the end of a fun filled recycling learning adventure for your kids; however, it does not have to end here! The purpose of this continuous adventure is to teach your child the importance of recycling and make them aware of the various ways in which to help the environment. Throughout this adventure, we hope that your kids will be motivated to change their habits and begin to make an impact by recycling.
Our main discussion this week was "How can we reuse junk?". Students were able to inquire and came up with very interesting ideas! They thought about reusing plastic bottles to make a maraca, egg carton to make a jewelry box, toilet paper roll to make a bird feeder or a race car, and turn a shoe box into a toy computer.
Pk 4.1 students really enjoyed being part of taking care of the EARTH, I can say that I have seen them being more aware of closing the tap when using the sink to wash their hands or brush their teeth, when they are done eating their snack, they wash the yogurt bottle, pringles plastic containers, or keep the foil paper to make a new game or reuse it in another way.
Before going gorcery shopping think carefully about what products you buy at the supermarket and how to recycle them is the first step towards efficient recycling.
Thank you for always being part of your children continuous learning :)
Teaching with love,
